Holy Basil (TULSI) and its uses

Holy basil or Tulsi is a fairly common plant in Indian household. Easy to grow and widely found in Indian subcontinent. Not only is tulsi a revered, holy plant in Hinduism, it also finds its place in ancient science of ayurveda. Tulsi is inexpensive herb comes loaded with a host of benefits. Tulsi is extremely beneficial for humans.




- It acts as detoxifying , cleaning and purifying agent.

- It is also effective in treating skin disorders, itching and issues like ringworm.

- It helps in relieving from fever, headache, cold, cough and flu.

- It is great for dental health and healthy gums.

Home remedies of Tulsi

- In the case of sore throat, boil the water with tulsi leaves and take as drink. This water is can be also used as gargle. One can also chew tulsi leaves for instant relief.

- Take 12 leaves of tulsi twice a day to prevent from stress and also purifies the blood.

- Consume the juice of tulsi leaves which is beneficial in treatment of ringworms and other skin diseases.

- Take tulsi leaves, dry it in sun and make powder. It can be used for brushing teeth.

- To get relief from pain due to burns, apply tulsi juice mixed with equal amount of coconut oil on the burns.

- Tulsi juice mixed with ginger juice works as a very good ailment for stomach infections and stomach cramps,            especially in children.
